Upgrading the Sunbury Dog Park: A Safe Space for Dogs of All Sizes

Introduction: Sunbury Dog Park is a much-loved spot for our community’s furry friends, but it’s clear that the park could use some enhancements. If elected, I will push for a series of upgrades, including a dedicated small dogs area to ensure that all dogs, no matter their size, can enjoy the park safely.

Details: Dog owners in Sunbury have shared concerns that while they love the park, it lacks a few key features. One of the most requested improvements is a separate area for small dogs. This would create a safer space where smaller breeds can play without the risk of being overwhelmed by larger, more energetic dogs. The upgrade could also include other improvements like better lighting, additional seating, and more water stations.

Benefits:

  • Safety: Separating small and large dogs will reduce the risk of accidents or intimidation, allowing all dogs to enjoy their time at the park.
  • Enhanced Experience: Improvements like more seating and water stations will make the park more comfortable for both dogs and their owners.
  • Community Building: A well-maintained dog park can be a social hub for pet owners, promoting community spirit.

These upgrades will make Sunbury Dog Park a more inclusive and enjoyable space for all dogs and their owners.
